Refund Policy

Introduction

This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds on the TeachX platform. By using our services, you agree to the terms of this policy.

For Students

Lesson Cancellations

  • More than 24 hours before: Full refund of the lesson fee.
  • Less than 24 hours before: 50% refund of the lesson fee.
  • No-show: No refund will be provided.

Tutor No-Shows

  • If a tutor fails to attend a scheduled lesson, students will receive a full refund.
  • Students must report tutor no-shows within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson time.

Quality Concerns

  • If you're unsatisfied with the quality of a lesson, you may request a refund within 48 hours of the lesson completion.
  • Each request will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
  • First-time students may be eligible for our 100% satisfaction guarantee (see Terms of Service for details).

Course Refunds

  • Full refund available within 7 days of purchase if no lessons have been attended.
  • Partial refunds may be available for unused portions of courses, subject to a processing fee.

For Tutors

Payment Processing

  • Tutor payments are processed 7 days after a lesson is completed.
  • This delay allows time for any student refund requests to be processed.

Disputed Lessons

  • If a student requests a refund for a completed lesson, tutors will be notified and given an opportunity to respond.
  • Tutors may provide evidence to support their case in disputed situations.

Cancellation Fees

  • Tutors receive 50% of the lesson fee for student cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled time.
  • No payment is processed for cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance.

Account Balance

  • Refunds to students are deducted from the tutor's pending balance.
  • If insufficient funds are available, the amount will be deducted from future earnings.

For Partners

Service Agreement Refunds

  • Partner subscription fees are generally non-refundable once services have been initiated.
  • Pro-rated refunds may be available for unused portions of subscription periods in exceptional circumstances.

Integration Fees

  • Setup and integration fees are non-refundable once work has commenced.
  • If TeachX fails to deliver promised integration functionality, a partial or full refund may be issued.

Revenue Sharing

  • Adjustments to revenue sharing payments will be made to account for student refunds.
  • Partners will receive detailed reports of all refunds affecting their revenue share.

Early Termination

  • Early termination of partnership agreements may result in partial refunds of prepaid fees, subject to the terms of the specific agreement.

Processing Time

  • Refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days.
  • The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your payment method and financial institution.

Exceptions

TeachX reserves the right to make exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis. Repeated refund requests may be subject to review and may affect account standing.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy periodically. We will notify users of any significant changes through the platform or via email.
