Introduction
1.1 These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TeachX Platform and Services. By accessing or using the TeachX Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the TeachX Platform.
1.2 The TeachX Platform is owned and operated by TeachX Platforms Pte. Ltd., with registered office at 68 CIRCULAR ROAD, #02-01, SINGAPORE 049422. Our contact details are set out on the Website.

General Information
2.1 You may use the TeachX Platform as: (i) a registered user seeking educational Offerings ("Student" or "Parent" acting on behalf of a Student), or (ii) a visitor. TeachX provides access to connect Students (and, where applicable, Parents acting on behalf of Students) with Providers (Tutors/freelancers and Organizations) for in-person, online, and recorded Offerings, including lessons, courses, packages, workshops, events, memberships, and programs. TeachX itself does not provide these Offerings directly.
2.2 By creating an account on the TeachX Platform, you agree to provide accurate, complete, and updated information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
2.3 TeachX reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on the Website, and by continuing to use the TeachX Platform after such changes, you agree to be bound by the amended Terms.
Student Responsibilities
3.1 Students must be at least 18 years old to book any Offering (e.g., lessons, courses, packages, workshops, events, memberships, or programs) for themselves. Students under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms and consents to the Student receiving the services offered on the platform.
3.2 Students must ensure that all personal details and contact information are accurate and up-to-date. TeachX will communicate primarily through email and the TeachX Platform.
3.3 Students are responsible for ensuring they have the required equipment, software, and connectivity to access any online components of an Offering (including, where applicable, the Online Classroom). No refunds will be made due to a Student’s inability to access such online components, except where the inability arises from TeachX’s failure to provide the services outlined in clause 4.2.
3.4 Students agree to not use any means to record lessons separately from the TeachX Platform. This includes storing or sharing them.
3.5 Students must provide valid payment details and ensure sufficient funds are available for the payment of Offerings. By confirming a booking, Students authorize TeachX to process payments for the services.
3.6 Students must not engage directly with Providers outside the TeachX Platform or approved channels. All communications should be conducted through the TeachX Platform to ensure safety and compliance with these Terms.
3.7 Students may cancel bookings according to the cancellation policy outlined in the Refund and Payment Policy. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson may incur a fee. Refunds are processed in accordance with the Refund and Payment Policy.
3.8 Students must ensure a safe environment for in-person Offerings. TeachX is not responsible for any disputes or issues arising from in-person sessions. Students should exercise caution and good judgment when engaging in in-person Offerings.
TeachX Responsibilities
4.1 TeachX will endeavor to maintain the TeachX Platform and keep it free from viruses and other harmful components. However, uninterrupted or error-free availability cannot be guaranteed.
4.2 TeachX may verify the identity and qualifications of Providers (Tutors/freelancers and Organizations). However, TeachX does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any Provider information. Students should independently verify Provider credentials.
4.3 TeachX will communicate with Students via email and the TeachX Platform regarding bookings, cancellations, and other relevant information. Students are responsible for keeping their email address updated.
Pricing and Fees
(a) Displayed Price. TeachX applies a platform markup factor of one and one-half (1.5) to the Tutor Services Price for display to Students. The price you see prior to checkout (the "Displayed Price") equals 1.5 × the Tutor Services Price.
(b) Service Fee. A separate Service Fee applies at checkout. The Service Fee is a customer-facing fee and is not paid to the Tutor.
(c) Total at Checkout. Your total consists of: Displayed Price + Service Fee + applicable taxes and government charges (if any). All components and totals are shown before you confirm payment.
(d) Promotions and Discounts. TeachX may apply promotions or discounts to the Displayed Price. Any reductions will be shown before you pay.
(e) Pricing Updates. TeachX may update the markup factor and/or the Service Fee in the future. The amounts shown at checkout at the time of your booking apply to that booking.
(f) Organization Offerings. For organization-based programs, courses, events, and memberships, items (a) and (b) do not apply. The amount shown prior to checkout is the final price for the offering. No platform markup and no separate Service Fee apply. Your total consists of the listed price plus applicable taxes and government charges (if any).
(g) Post-Delivery Review Window. After each delivered session or event (or deliverable within an Offering), TeachX maintains a minimum five (5) day review window to allow Students to report non-delivery or material issues. This window does not limit your statutory rights and does not delay refunds where a remedy is warranted.
Content Policy
5.1 Students are responsible for the content they post on the TeachX Platform, including messages and reviews. Students must not post defamatory, offensive, or illegal content.
5.2 TeachX reserves the right to monitor and remove any content that violates these Terms or is deemed inappropriate.
6.1 By submitting content to the TeachX Platform, Students grant TeachX a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, modify, and distribute such content.
Dispute Resolution
7.1 TeachX is not responsible for resolving disputes between Students and Providers. Students and Providers should attempt to resolve any disputes directly.
7.2 Any dispute arising out of these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration conducted in Singapore under the SIAC Rules.
8.1 These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
9.1 For any questions about these Terms, please contact us at support@teachx.net or +973 39401631.
Privacy Policy
10.1 TeachX respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information.
Termination
11.1 TeachX reserves the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in any conduct that TeachX, in its sole discretion, believes is harmful to the TeachX Platform or other users.
11.2 You may terminate your account at any time by following the instructions on the TeachX Platform. Upon termination, you will lose access to the TeachX Platform and any content or data associated with your account.
Liability
12.1 You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TeachX, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the TeachX Platform or your violation of these Terms.
13.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, TeachX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your use or inability to use the TeachX Platform; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the TeachX Platform; (c) any content obtained from the TeachX Platform; and (d) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.
Complaints
14.1 A "Complaint" covers any cause for the Student to seek a refund, credit, or other remedy in relation to an Offering, including, without limitation: (i) a missed or canceled session/event where the Provider did not deliver as scheduled; (ii) a materially undelivered portion of a package, course, or program; or (iii) a claim about quality falling below reasonable expectations for the Offering.
14.2 A Student should inform TeachX of a Complaint within ninety-six (96) hours after the scheduled finish time of the relevant session or event, or within ninety-six (96) hours of the expected delivery of the relevant deliverable in a course, package, program, or membership.
14.3 If a Student and the Provider cannot resolve a Complaint directly, the Student may escalate it to TeachX for facilitation in accordance with platform policies. TeachX may, at its discretion, provide a remedy (including refund or credit) consistent with applicable policies. Nothing in this section obligates TeachX to provide a remedy where the Offering was delivered as described.
Child Protection
16.1 TeachX seeks to provide the best service possible and provide a safe experience in which children can learn. Any User who is the parent of a child under the age of 18 who participates in a session or class with a Provider should not leave the child in the sole care of that Provider.
User Liability
17.1 TeachX shall not be liable for any loss or damage caused by it or its employees or agents in circumstances where there is no breach of a legal duty of care owed by TeachX or by any of its employees or agents; such loss or damage was not reasonably foreseeable by both parties; or such loss or damage is caused by the User, for example by not complying with these terms and conditions.
17.2 The User will be liable for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage TeachX suffers arising from the User's breach of these terms and conditions or misuse of the Platform.
